Andy Clegg

Andy Clegg started life as an apprentice-trained cabinet maker before moving into window manufacture. He then moved into a survey-related role within the home improvement market working for a major national company. Andy then moved to Safestyle UK where he headed up the survey department for four years, two of which saw Fensa failures reduce to zero.

Furthering his career, Andy moved to head up Safestyle’s installation department and achieved installer of the year at G07. He has subsequently left Safestyle and formed Trainability Plus with Laurence Pearson. Trainability Plus are committed to deliver a high-quality level of training to the glass and glazing industry. current training programs revolve around NVQ network of qualifications and include, Glass Processing level 2 & 3. Fenestration Installation Level 2 & 3, Manufacture of Glass Supporting Systems Level 2, Customer Service Level 2 & 3, Business Administration Level 2.

Laurence Pearson

Laurence Pearson started life as an apprentice glass cutter, learning all aspects of glass cutting, shaping and unit manufacture and earning a good industry grounding. PVC frame manufacture came next as a natural progressive step. He was then given the opportunity to become a training manager for a large northern company gaining the relevant NVQ D32 and D33 awards. Opportunities arose from which he progressed into management within both the new build and retail markets. This then saw him take a senior Operational Managers role with Safestyle UK Installations Department. Together with Andy Clegg, he runs Trainability Plus.

Peter Adams

Having spent 25 years within the European glazing industry, Peter has considerable experience with the manufacturing, costing and management side of the business. He has worked with a wide range of glazing companies, from small installation firms to some of the industry’s largest fabricators, assuming responsibility for overseeing a number of groundbreaking projects and systems. These have included the implementation of a number of benchmarking and business efficiency systems that have saved companies large amounts of money and, in some cases, have prevented them from folding altogether. This range of experience together with Peter’s considerable business acumen and history of success has enabled him to develop unique courses for FENSA Training that will enable installers to redefine how they run their companies.
